Mahindra BE6, XEV 9E Electric SUVs: Bookings Open on Valentine's Day

Mahindra is set to launch its much-anticipated BE6 and XEV 9E electric SUVs with bookings opening on February 14, 2025.

The BE6 is available in five trims, while the XEV 9E offers four variants.

Mahindra will open bookings for its new electric SUVs, the BE6 and XEV 9E, on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2025. Deliveries of the Pack Three variant for both models are expected to begin in mid-March 2025. The Pack Three Select and Pack Two variants will be delivered starting in June and July 2025, respectively, while the entry-level One and One Above variants will be available from August 2025.

Performance & Range

Both the BE6 and XEV 9E share the same powertrain, built on the Mahindra INGLO architecture, with two available battery pack options: 59 kWh and 79 kWh. Initially, both models will come with the 59 kWh battery pack. Mahindra states that the BE6 can charge from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes with a 175 kW DC fast charger. The 79 kWh battery offers a range of 682 km, as per ARAI testing, while the range for the 59 kWh variant is yet to be disclosed. The smaller 59 kWh battery generates 228 bhp, while the 79 kWh option produces 278 bhp. Torque is the same for both packs at 380 Nm.

Prices

The BE6 is priced between Rs. 18.90 lakhs and Rs. 26.90 lakhs, while the XEV 9E ranges from Rs. 21.90 lakhs to Rs. 30.50 lakhs (ex-showroom). The BE6 is available in five trims, while the XEV 9E offers four variants. Both models are equipped with advanced features such as adaptive cruise control, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon system, ADAS suite, and dual or triple screens.
